Step 1: Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself

Before you consider your future - you need to consider your past. Please review your transcripts and graduation credits on Q/Student Connect. You should pay particular attention to any F's that have not been repeated. Please review the pre-requisites for any courses, to make sure you meet the requirements to take the course.

Use the 4 Year Planning form below to check off your courses to make sure you are meeting Graduation and/or A-G College Requirements.

Step 2: Consider Your Options

Next you need to know what classes are available for you next year. Please view this in relation to YOU. Do not make decisions based on what others are doing or not doing. The courses can be found listed on the back side of your Course Request Form, or listed here in the Course Catalog.

Step 3: Complete Your Course Request Form

Watch the instructional video below on how to fill out your course request form. Be sure to have this form COMPLETED and SIGNED to turn into your Counselor at the start of your 1:1 meeting.

Step 4: Enter Your Requests

Course requests will be entered using your STUDENT Q portal. The video below will show you how to access and enter your requests. You will need to do so within your course request window. You should do this on a mac, pc or Chromebook - it will be difficult/impossible to do so via mobile app.

Step 4: Patience and Check Your Email

Once you input your course requests and hit the Submit button, your requests are in. Your requests can be adjusted as long as the window is still open. CAUTION: Any changes made while the window is still open may be subject to class availability and does not guarantee you will be able to request the course. When the window closes, there is no guarantee you will be able to change your requests. The expectation is that your requests are as close to final as possible.

Please be sure to regularly check your email for any questions from your Counselor regarding your course requests.
